^^yea ive seen the problem with the 3gs but not the original one....

to update drivers... not exactly sure since i dont hav an iphone. but i'd say start here

i have no idea where..i hate apple

but just search on the software name in google and add driver

for example

iphone 3gs update driver or whatever..and if u find results from apples website thats the best´+safest to get

delete itunes and apples mobile whatever its called...then reinstall itunes and hook up ur iphone..also make sure u are using the usb connections at the back of ur computer along with an actual apple usb cable. my gfs iphone wasnt working on my computer at all and since she got rid of her laptop she couldnt add any songs n shit..Found this tip on some forum and it worked like a charm
