Bad Boy Records' latest sensation, the all-girl group from Making the Band 3 Danity Kane, are looking likely to top next weeks Billboard charts after a an impressive first week on sale with their self-titled debut album.

Despite a lack of radio and video airplay, Danity Kane are neck and neck with new releases from music industry heavy weights like Outkast and Christina Aguilera.

Bad Boy CEO Sean "Diddy" Combs said he never doubted the group's success:

"Many people wrote off these girls as just a 'made-for-TV' group, but I believed in their talent from the beginning. The fans have spoken, and with their love and support, Danity Kane's dream is coming true. Sometimes word of mouth is better than radio and video play. This is the best kind of success, one that comes straight from the people."

The album has been flying off the shelves since it went on sale last week, selling around 90,000 copies in its first day and selling out in most stores across the United States.

"The formula works like this: Diddy, Bad Boy Records, talented and beautiful artists, and the marketing strategy," said Steve Lerner, Circuit City's Senior National Buyer/Music. "It's the culmination of many factors, and Danity Kane actually brings back the excitement of what the music business is all about - Artist Development!"

"Danity 'Co-Kane'... people are fiendin' for it!" commented Violet Brown, Director of Urban Music for Trans World Entertainment. "It is great to have a new title of this magnitude!"

Off the Billboard charts the band has already accrued success. The album is #1 on iTunes, with an average ranking of 4 1/2 stars out of 5 and over 300 people have reviewed it. The first single from the album, "Show Stopper" produced by Jim Jonsin, is #3 on iTunes and debuted at #5 on SoundScan's Digital Song Chart, selling 55,000 units.
